Ryan Freel who played for five teams in eight years, Major League career, was found dead in his Florida home on Saturday, a result of self-inflicted shotgun wound, Jacksonville police said.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said that treated the 36-year-old Cape death as suicide.
Cape, who grew up in Jacksonville, last played great in 2009, when he played for four organizations.
In June, he was named baseball coach at St. Joseph Academy in Jacksonville, but the Florida Times-Union reported that he later supported the work.

Twitter, Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips, who played with the Cape 2006-08, reacted with sorrow for his former colleague browsing.
