NFC Championship Game 2013: Julio Jones inspires hope for a world record performance

Though the Atlanta Falcons were eliminated from Super Bowl contention on Sunday, they have a lot to look forward to. We discussed Julio Jones' record environmental performance against the San Francisco 49ers.
Atlanta Falcons visiting San Francisco 49ers Georgia Dome on Sunday. Conference match-ups this weekend is action packed and full of intensity. The Niners and Falcons was the first game of the day, and at first, it looked like Atlanta was going to run away with him.

But the 49ers 17-point deficit wiped grab and came back in the second half, the Falcons devastating. On the positive side, Atlanta is something special, and it looks like it will be an annual candidates. Dave Choate has Falcoholics of this post game reaction after the loss on Sunday:

Jones broke the single game record for Alfred Jenkins, reeling in 11 catches for 182 yards. It was one of the most impressive game I've ever seen come out of Atlanta wide receiver. In the first half, especially, Jones abused secondary trips for more than 100 yards and two touchdowns.

If you have more dyanmic packet size, speed and skill than Jones in the league and one not named Calvin Johnson, at least I have not seen. Julio essentially putting the Falcons back this game, and considering how close it was, he was very soon they are getting there. Recipients simply not supposed to do that, but Jones was able.

Julio Jones is absolutely unstoppable on Sunday. Even the league's No. 1 defense had no answer for him. Is open or closed, Matt Ryan will give Jones a shot and chances are that the recipient will use the athleticism to get down with it.

As a recipient of the second year, Jones will be a key building block for the franchise going forward.
